SIZE OF SEPTIC TANK:
Lests assume number of users: 6
Cleaning period:3 years
One person produces 30 lit sludge/year
Total sludge:6x30x3
              =540 lit
One person produces sewage 50 lit/day
Total sewage:6x50
               =300 lit
Total volume: 540+300
             =840 lit
But we know that standard volume of septic tank is 1400 lit for being successful.
Capasity of tank=1400 lit

Depth:1.5m                                                                                                                 Surfacearea=1.4/1.5
=~ 1 square meter( value less than required standard

for 6 persons
size:
width: 900 mm
length: 3x900=2700 mm
height: 1.5 m + free board 300 mm=1800 mm
volume:900x2700x1800 cubic mm.
